Applications Now Open: The Carpentry Academy Apprenticeship Opportunities 2026

We've teamed up with NHBC to deliver high-quality, hands-on apprenticeship training.

This October, we will welcome another 10 new apprentices to join the growing LJ Construction team - future tradespeople who'll help shape the construction industry for years to come.

Following the success of our 2024 and 2025 programmes, where 25 out of 28 apprentices are still with us and are making excellent progress - we're excited to keep building on that momentum with a refined structure, better support, and more hands-on experience for these future tradesmen and women.

The Course

Like last year, the first 4 weeks of the apprenticeship programme will be spent at the Carpentry Academy, Banbury, Oxfordshire. Here, apprentices will gain essential knowledge in key topics such as:

Site Environment
Manual Handling
Health & Safety Basics
Power Tool Competency

Our goal is to make sure every apprentice is "Site Ready" from day one. After that time, the apprentices will head out to site, working close to their home with our chosen mentors as they start their journey in the industry, with a block release structure back to the academy.
